Elder Foster has aspired to leadership since he started his mission. Initially, his only goal was to emulate his Greenie Trainer and become an AP. He thought he would work his way up the mission hierarchy.

And in the center of the room on a raised platform, President Wilcox and Patriarch Smith call for him to come forward and join them.
The handsome, promiscuous boy has mixed emotions. There is fear, which is not helped by the grim silence of the two men in the room with him. But also an almost electric excitement.
Elder Foster knows Patriarch Smith and President Wilcox he knows them very intimately and it is disconcerting to see them looking so serious.
